Don’t go to the local gym and settle for the inexperienced young person with the great body. Just because they look good doesn’t mean they can help you. Every person is different and needs a program developed for them.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU’RE IN A STREET FIGHT?
When it comes to a physical confrontation, the best way to avoid a fight is not to get in a fight. Walk away. Your pride will heal faster than the injuries you might sustain if you stick around to prove your manhood. Both sides stand to lose. But if avoiding a fight is impossible, know that just about every fight ends up on the ground, and whoever controls the ground, wins the fight. It’s a rare fight that ends with a punch like you see in the movies. Invariably it turns into a ground fight and that’s where the skill in wrestling, Jiu Jitsu and Judo will make the difference.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU’RE IN A KNIFE FIGHT?
The bottom is that if you’re a knife fight, your are going to get cut. You have to know how to mitigate your injuries and where you can strike your opponent to stop the fight.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU’RE IN A GUN FIGHT?
The best way to avoid a gun fight is to run away . If you’re forced into a fight, it’s usually the person who can get aimed shots on target first who wins; not the first person to fire.
STANDING UNARMED COMBAT
It’s all about range, level and angle. Range is the distance between opponents, level is the height difference between opponents and angle is your body position relative to your opponent. Boxing teaches you range and angle. Wrestling dictates whether you have a ground or standing fight. An experienced wrestler can stop the fight from ending up on the ground or force it to the ground. Jiu Jitsu and Jitsu teach you to end a fight by submitting your opponent once you’re on the ground.
The unfortunate reality of Women’s personal defense is that your feet are your number one line of defense. The statistics show that 8 out of 10 people who attack women are known by those women. Most time it’s not the stranger in the park, it’s someone you know in a place you might normally feel safe.
